Mike Chodroff

Mike Chodroff joined CIEE in February 2026 as the Global Education Advisor for Pennsylvania and Delaware, where he works with schools, educators, and community partners to expand access to meaningful international experiences for high school students. In summer 2026, he co-facilitated CIEE’s Global Education Institute in Lisbon, Portugal, working with educators to explore global competency and the integration of global learning into their classrooms and schools.

Mike brings more than 20 years of experience in education, nonprofit leadership, experiential learning, and program development to his work at CIEE. His career has included roles as a science educator, school administrator, and sustainability leader, as well as founding The Ripple Center, a nonprofit dedicated to helping educators turn ideas for positive change into action. He also served for 12 years on the Board of the Alliance for New Jersey Environmental Education, including four years as President. Earlier chapters of his career in journalism, television, and finance continue to shape his approach to storytelling, relationship-building, and connecting people with opportunities.

A lifelong traveler and advocate for experiential education, Mike has visited all 50 U.S. states and more than 25 countries. He believes some of the most powerful learning happens when we step beyond what is familiar, engage with different people and perspectives, and bring those experiences back into our communities. He is based in New Jersey.
