Emma Dee

Emma Dee (she/her) is a graduate from the University of Kent, where she completed her Ph.D Writing the Novel; Practice as Research. She has taught both creative and critical modules at the University of Kent, and CIEE London, and on the MA Warwick Writing Programme for the University of Warwick, and enjoys exploring how these two aspects of literary study intersect. She is interested in literary depictions of time and space, love and taboo, with particular focus on the Gothic, and has presented her research on these topics at National and International Conferences. Her poetry and prose has appeared in The Kent Review, Gothic Nature Journal, Spiderweb Chronicles, and in Le Menteur in Paris. For the creative side of her PhD, she has completed a novel of Gothic Horror proportions and content. When not involved in the dark literary arts, she is often found exploring the coast, or at home with her black cat Bram.
