Biography
Christine M. Jacquart is a French and Spanish teacher in the Shorewood School District in Wisconsin, where she has dedicated 25 years to inspiring students through world language education. A two-time recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award (2017 and 2025), Christine holds undergraduate degrees in French, Spanish and K-12 education as well as a M.A. in French Language and Literature, and a certificate in Mentoring Leadership. As the founder and director of the Shorewood Global Pathways Program, she leads the Global Scholars Program, administers the Wisconsin State Seal of Biliteracy, facilitates the Global Navigators Club and promotes CIEE study abroad programs. A former CIEE student herself, Christine studied in Guanajuato, Mexico, and credits her CIEE experience as a pivotal moment that shaped her success as a global educator. She mentors new teachers and advocates for integrating a global perspective across all curricula. This personal connection to international education continues to inform her teaching philosophy and her dedication to creating transformative experiences for her students. When not in the classroom, Christine can be found in nature—tending her gardens during warm Wisconsin summers or climbing snow-covered mountains around the world with her husband, Paul. She practices yoga, reads avidly, and remains a consummate seeker of knowledge and solutions. Christine and Paul are proud parents of two children currently attending university in Boston and Lugano, Switzerland.
