Tania Huitrón

Tania Huitrón is a Global Education Advisor with CIEE based in Dallas, Texas. She works with schools, educators, and students across North Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas to expand access to CIEE’s study abroad opportunities.

Originally from Mexico, Tania’s own international journey began when she studied abroad in the United States, an experience that shaped her passion for global education and the transformative power of learning across cultures.

Tania has been part of the CIEE community for 10 years. She began her career with CIEE as a Spanish teacher in CIEE summer programs in Mexico, gaining firsthand experience in the classroom and seeing the impact of international education on students. Today, she brings that perspective to her work supporting educators and schools as they create opportunities for more students to study abroad.

As a Global Education Advisor, Tania combines her experience as an educator with extensive firsthand knowledge of CIEE programs and destinations. She has led CIEE site visits in Rabat, Barcelona, Toulouse, Seville, and Berlin, gaining an on-the-ground perspective of the academic, cultural, and experiential elements that make study abroad meaningful for students and educators.

A lifelong traveler, Tania has visited over 30 countries and believes that travel is one of the most powerful ways to develop curiosity, cultural understanding, and a deeper appreciation for the perspectives that shape our world.

Passionate about global learning and relationship-building, Tania is committed to connecting educators with international opportunities and helping schools make study abroad a more accessible and integral part of the student experience.
